Returns

The Good Design Store is committed to providing exceptional customer service. We want you to rave about our products and spread the good word about our company!

If, for any reason, you are not satisfied with your purchase, please return it to us within 14 days of the date of purchase, provided that the products are in their original condition, unused, unwashed and are accompanied with their original packaging and labelling in good condition, ie: they must be in a re-sellable condition. We will either exchange or replace the item, provide a store credit or refund the purchase price at our discretion.

Damaged or faulty stock

If your product(s) are damaged or faulty please let us know.

Faulty stock will be replaced at no cost to you and we will refund you the costs of returning the product to us and cover the delivery costs of any replacement item we send you.

We carefully pack your goods so that they reach you safely but should anything happen in transit then please notify us within 48 hours of receipt of the items and include photos of the damaged item(s) and your invoice number. We will send you a replacement as soon as possible and have a wee chat to our courier company! Should we not be able to supply a replacement product, we will offer you a store credit or a full refund.

Items returned as faulty or damaged in delivery will be inspected on receipt and any items that appear to have been damaged or used by a customer will not be accepted as faulty. We will not refund or exchange products that have been damaged due to improper use and care. Please follow the care instructions on all clothing and other items. We do not recommend that you shower or sleep in our jewellery products.

Sale Items

Sale items are not eligible for a refund, unless they are faulty or damaged, however you can choose to exchange these for another product or receive a credit to use at a later date. 

Notification

Please email info@thegooddesignstore.co.nz to let us know that you are returning a product and include the invoice number, a brief explanation of the problem and your contact details on the email. We must receive the item within 5 working days of receipt of your email notifying us that you wish to return it. Once your return is received and inspected, we will send you an email to notify you of your exchange, replacement, credit or refund entitlement. 

Return Shipping

Freight charges are not refundable unless the goods are faulty, damaged in transit or the incorrect item was shipped, in which case we will also refund the cost of returning the goods to us. We recommend using a tracked service for any return as unfortunately we cannot guarantee that we will receive your returned item.

Refunds

We will notify you of the approval or rejection of your refund application. If a refund is approved, then your refund will be processed and a credit will automatically be applied to your credit card or original method of payment within 14 days.

All purchases are subject to the Fair Trading Act 1986 and the Consumer Guarantees Act 1993.
